Remember all those coats we sorted last month? Here are some of them finding new homes! We call it, “Warm Coats from Warm Hearts.” And this time of year it’s easier to have a warm heart. We talk about giving, thankfulness, and holiday magic, but having a warm heart can (and will) glorify God all year long! How are you sharing your warm heart?! ♥️
This may just look like a messy pile of coats, but it’s so much more! Our church family has had the blessing of helping put warm coats into the community for over 20 years. Covid may have changed the way this looks, but we’re still eager to serve our community as the temperatures drop. Sunday from 5-7 we have great service opportunity with Warm Coats from Warm Hearts. Bring a friend and willing heart! Dinner provided 😉
You are invited to our Halloween Party this Saturday from 6-9! We will be working hard to have a great evening while also maintaining Covid precautions. Be sure to work a mask into your costume and help us stay scary and safe!

As the disciples saw the waves crashing over the boat and the winds raging around them, their fear crippled them. They did not know that their lives would be spared. They did not know that the savior in the boat could calm the storm. They did not know that their salvation was just around the corner. Have faith! You do not know what is ahead, but you know that Jesus is there! The winds and the waves will rest. The storm will end. Have peace! Jesus is not worried about the storm. He will see you through all the way to the end. #HeIsRisen
This wasn’t how our year was supposed to end, but so thankful for the memories and new friends made at GHU. Please be on the lookout for text messages, weekly devotions, movie suggestions, and more from our staff in the coming months. Our Green Hills family loves you all. Stay safe. Hug your parents. Binge a tv show. Hope to see you all again soon!

As Middle Tennessee begins to rebuild and clean up, please let us know if you need assistance! Our church is standing by to help with clothing donations, food donations, clean up assistance, or whatever else you may need help with. #NashvilleStrong
Our discussion in Proverbs last night was on the topic of self control. We came up with these characteristics of “the good life,” and then we analyzed how do we achieve the good life. The Christian life is not easy, but God’s desire is to bless us and pour his love on us. When we practice self control and take authority over our life and over our sin, we experience moments of the good life! There will be times of correction and instruction, but their will also be times of joy and fun as we follow God. Our encouragement to you today, stay the course and take hold of your life! You’ll be glad you did.
